Forensic data device fights cyber crime
Handheld Forensic MD5s IDE hard-drive, non-tampering, data capturing system seizes disk drive data with bit-for-bit accuracy, guaranteeing zero chance of alteration of suspect and evidence drives. Computes a complete MD5, 128-bit authentication of source and destination drives before and after capture. Unidirectional data transfer copies only from external data source and prevents inadvertent overwriting or corruption of data so that duplication is forensically sound and legally reliable. Built-in CRC-32 engine produces imaging speeds up to 3.3 Gb/min. Captured image is compatible and may be analyzed with FTK, Encase, or ILOOK. Device has integrated QWERTY keypad and connects to laptop via PCMCIA slot using optional CloneCard Pro adapter; directly to IDE interface; or through USB port via USB adapter. Compact flash port stores keyword lists, performs fast software updates, and debugs traces. Also features parallel-port copy capability if notebook chassis is sealed or if booby-trapped case is suspected. Clones Mac, Linux, UNIX, Sun, and other proprietary operating systems. Airtight, waterproof field case includes power source, power distribution panel, storage pockets, and full-page, portable inkjet printer for detailed reports on site. Optional battery-powered carrying case also supports decontamination immersion after exposure of the device to chemical or biological substances. Assists law enforcement, military, MIS/IT, security, investigators, and auditors.
