10 of America’s most idyllic lakeside communities

  • 27th May 2022

From Vermont’s Lake Champlain to the famous Lake of the Ozarks, the United States has the third most lakes of any country in the world—a new list from Boatline, an online boating marketplace, ranks America’s best lakeside cities and towns.

The list includes communities like Grand Lake, Colo., which is home to the state’s deepest natural lake, and Bigfork, Mt., situated along Flathead Lake.

“Imagine spending day after day at the lake fishing, swimming, or simply cruising around in your powerboat. While the shimmering waters are a huge draw, these waterfront havens feature just as much to do on land as they do in the water,” a blog post says on Boatline’s website notes

Scroll through the photos above to find the top 10 lakeside communities, and follow the link to see the complete list.

FirstNet Authority CTO Jeff Bratcher said that NPSBN contractor AT&T repeatedly has […]
  • Cities Connecting Children to Nature initiative adds 15 new cities to program
Researchers have correlated access to nature with positive impacts like lower stress and anxiety, leading to higher academic achievement, increased emotional learning, stronger social connections, better self esteem, and a greater sense of environmental stewardship. But in today’s built environment, where concrete and brick dominate landscapes, nature is often a car drive or train ride away—and […]
