The National Intergovernmental Purchasing Alliance (National IPA) has awarded a cooperative contract to Bob Barker Company to provide a variety of detention supplies and products to government agencies and educational institutions.

The competitively solicited and publicly awarded agreement will give the public sector greater access to the firm’s line of products for agencies needing bedding, mattresses, linens, laundry, wash and bath towels, clothing, underwear, socks, footwear, personal care, recreation and games, exercise equipment, commissary, drug test kits, restraints, suicide prevention, and Officer Only supplies. The pact is Cooperative Contract #Number WA00034777.

National IPA is a cooperative purchasing organization established through a collaborative effort of public agencies across the United States with the purpose of reducing procurement costs by leveraging group volume. All agreements offered through National IPA are publicly solicited, awarded through a Request for Proposal (RFP) process, and held by a lead public agency. National IPA serves as the nationwide channel to offer the awarded agreements to public and non-profit agencies. The goal of this cooperative purchasing strategy is to offer low costs, plus time and resource savings, to participating agencies.

There is no fee to participate with National IPA. For more information or to register, visit National IPA at www.nationalipa.org, or call Bob Barker Company at this dedicated toll free number, 877-430-4866.

The Bob Barker Company, founded in 1972 by Robert “Bob” Barker, Sr., is a detention products supplier. The firm’s headquarters and distribution center are located in Fuquay-Varina, N.C., with an additional distribution and sales center located in Ogden, Utah. The company is a privately owned, family-run business.

A division of Bob Barker Company, Officers Only, is a source for apparel. It offers a broad product lineup of protective and essential equipment that are used by law enforcement, corrections, military and public service officers. Learn more at this site.
