I am (not) the law!
Of all the cars on the highway near Shreveport, La., to get behind while allegedly pretending to be a police officer, Daniel Niederhelman picked the wrong one, according to AP.
Niederhelman, 21, has been charged with false personification of a peace officer in connection with a Sept. 14 incident in which he allegedly used a flashing red in-dash light to maneuver through traffic until he got behind a car driven by Shreveport Mayor Cedric Glover. Glover said he pulled over, but the car with the light sped away.
The mayor followed and called police, who stopped and arrested Niederhelman, who works for a private security company but who was not authorized to use the in-dash light. Police seized the light and a handgun that Niederhelman was carrying.
