Digital Precipitation Sensor Detects Presence of Moisture
Ice Meister Model 9734 Industrial Ice Detecting Sensor System can be tuned to indicate the presence of dew, frost, rain, ice, and snow in static-air applications. At minimum sensitivities, sensor distinguishes heavy ice from slightly heavier ice and detects the point at which rain turns to ice. At maximum sensitivity, unit detects incipient formation of any kind of ice, and even senses condensation from human breath. Consists of sensor head, cable, and interface board. Runs on 1 w. from virtually any a.c. or d.c. power source, including batteries, solar panels, 6-v. motorcycle batteries, and cell phone chargers. Users receive data output via indicator LEDs and isolating relay contacts. Options include de-ice heater, type-R mounting plate for refrigeration control, type-O mounting plate for open skies, heavy-duty cable and connectors, heavy-duty 100-ft. extension cables for severe environments, and weatherproof NEMA 4X enclosure box. Ideal for roadway signs, refrigerators, thermometers, rain gauges, heliports, wind power farms, golf courses, vehicle dispatch offices, and more. New Avionics Corp., Fort Lauderdale, FL
