Wildlife Research Center Welcomes Visiting Scientists
To create temporary quarters for visiting scientists, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (US FWS) built the Patuxent Wildlife Research Center in Patuxent, MD. The 2-story, duplex structure consists of an ADA-compliant modular building, which was manufactured at company’s facility and shipped in 4 pieces to the site. The wooden sections were placed on a foundation and then covered with vinyl siding. Each 1,600-sq.-ft. unit features 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths, kitchen, dining room, and laundry area. After the first structure was installed, the US FWS decided to order an identical building to serve additional needs. Company’s other modular projects range from golf clubhouses to Hazmat enclosures. Specialties include pre-fabricated metal buildings. On GSA contract.K-Con, Inc., Charleston, SC
