Law enforcement officials in Los Angeles plan to ban convicted drug offenders from going to skid row. District Attorney Steve Cooley is leading the effort in an attempt to quell rampant drug dealing in the city’s most notorious neighborhood, according to the Los Angeles Times. The area under consideration, less than one square mile between Broadway and Central Avenue, accounts for 13 percent of the city’s heroin and cocaine arrests.
