Glowing stair treads light pathways to exits
Non-slip Traction Tread Glow stair nosings meet nationwide fire-code requirements for low placement of photoluminescent markings and signs delineating safe exit paths during building evacuations and other emergencies. Also meet ADA requirements for placement of detectable warnings on stairs and hazardous surfaces. Profiled grooves with rubber or epoxy inserts ensure firm footing even in the dark. Photoluminescent strips are integrated into each of 4 outside grooves as installed on stair steps. Glow strips automatically self-charge when exposed to ambient light and emit luminescence after activating light source is no longer visible. Use aluminum backing and foam tape to adhere to smooth or uneven surfaces. Markings also can be mechanically fastened to steps. Available in aluminum or bronze finishes. Additional safety luminescent products include self-adhesive emergency sign-age and side-edge stair/landing, floor/exit door, and contoured hand-rail markings.
