A village of deluxe yurts has recently been installed at Umpqua Lighthouse State Park on the Oregon coast. The 24-ft.-dia. recreational structures, manufactured by Pacific Yurts, Inc., Cottage Grove, OR, feature wood cabinets and partitions, bathrooms with hot showers, fireplace heaters, and kitchenettes with dining areas. Each building sleeps up to 7 people. Decks with propane barbecues and covered porches offer stunning views of Lake Marie. Park visitors can enjoy outdoor activities such as kayaking, hiking, and swimming. Yurts may be customized with opening skylights, French doors, reflective insulation, snow and wind kits for extreme conditions, and much more. The portable, freestanding structures withstand winds up to 110 m.p.h. and are suited to extreme temperatures.
