Skid steers beef up productivity, hold down operating costs
Redesigned 300 Series Skid Steers boast features that get more work done reliably and at lower daily cost. John Deere 250 Series Power Tech engines with high hp., strong peak torque, direct injection, hydraulic lifters, serpentine fan belt with automatic tensioner, and high-ring pistons produce optimal starting and lugging capability and maximum fuel economy. Low center of gravity, long wheelbase, 60/40 weight distribution on front and rear axles, and larger tires deliver stable ride, fast speeds, and quick cycles. True vertical lift ensures maximum reach at full lift height. The 35 rollback keeps bucket level in carry position while 45 dump angle sheds bucket material cleanly. Heavy-duty breakout forces and hydraulics handle digging, load, and carry operations. Operator stations feature 360 view; wet-disk brakes that shut machine down when seat belt unfastens, operator leaves seat, cab door opens, or brake switch engages; comprehensive instrumentation; and integral in-cab boom lock. Options include Quik-Tatch pushbutton hydraulic engagement/disengagement for attachments; hydraulic self-leveling; and 4-season cab enclosure with air conditioning and heater/defroster. Visual fluid-level checks, swing-out oil cooler, quick-pivoting ROPS access to major components, and 500-hr. oil change intervals speed servicing.
