The 10 least green cities in the U.S.
What places come to mind when you think of the most environmentally-minded cities in the U.S.? If your answer is something along the lines of, “probably a few places in California,” you’d be correct — 7 of the 10 greenest U.S. cities are in the Golden State, based on a recent analysis by financial news and information site WalletHub.
However, some cities are not as sustainability-oriented. WalletHub compared the 100 largest U.S. cities using 28 key indicators across the areas of the environment, lifestyle and policy, transportation and energy sources. Using a slew of public and private resources, the website then ranked the cities in order of how green-oriented they are.
