Fleet product vendors win bids for cooperative contract

Fleet product vendors win bids for cooperative contract

BendPak and Vehicle Service Group have won their contract bids from the National Association of State Procurement Officials ValuePoint cooperative purchasing program.

BendPak and Vehicle Service Group (VSG) have won their contract bids from the National Association of State Procurement Officials (NASPO) ValuePoint cooperative purchasing program. The program was formerly named WSCA-NASPO. Under Master Contract No. 05316 for Vehicle Lifts and Garage Associated Equipment, the vendors will provide a variety of fleet maintenance equipment. A total of six contractors submitted winning bids.

BendPak will provide municipalities and government buyers two-post lifts, four-post lifts, mobile column lifts, scissors lifts, wheel balancers, tire changers and brake lathes via central purchasing offices in each of the 50 states, including the District of Columbia and other U.S. territories. For more details about the NASPO ValuePoint contract No. 05316 and BendPak, visit this site.

VSG’s family of vehicle lifting equipment brands, including Rotary, Forward and Revolution, are offered under the contract, as well as other garage equipment such as Rotary tire changers, wheel balancers and alignment systems. The NASPO ValuePoint Cooperative Purchasing program meets state requirements for competitively bid products. Many states are already buying through a NASPO ValuePoint purchasing program. State agencies, education institutions, local governments, and municipalities are able to leverage their spending, without going through a bid solicitation. NASPO ValuePoint secures competitive pricing from its vendors/suppliers. Go here for details on contract No. 05316.

As a national cooperative purchasing program, NASPO ValuePoint uses the collective purchasing power of all 50 states to achieve competitive deals for a variety of products and services. A single Lead State manages select contracts on behalf of other states. For contract No. 05316, the lead state is Washington. In the cooperative program, NASPO ValuePoint member-states and government entities are not required to pay membership fees.

The NASPO ValuePoint Master Contract was awarded to select companies that fulfill government, military and vocational requirements. The winning firms have globally recognized products designed for heavy-duty and commercial fleet services. The contract runs from February 2017 – February 2019 with an optional three-year extension.

VSG is involved globally in the vehicle service industry. It comprises 13 vehicle lifting and collision repair brands: Rotary, Chief, Forward, Direct-Lift, Revolution, Hanmecson, Ravaglioli, Elektron, Blitz, Nogra, Butler, Space and Sirio. The firm’s American headquarters is in Madison, Ind.; VSG has operations worldwide.
