Containment berms

Containment berms

Ultra Containment Berms capture spills from tanker trucks, construction equipment, military vehicles and other large equipment.
  • Written by American City & County Administrator
  • 1st June 2010

Ultra Containment Berms capture spills from tanker trucks, construction equipment, military vehicles and other large equipment. The berms are made of chemical-resistant Copolymer-2000 and keep spills from entering stormwater drains. They fold up for compact storage in facilities where space is limited. The containment berms come in prefabricated standard sizes, as well as custom-order sizes for each organization’s unique needs. They help government entities and other organizations meet federal Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasure requirements.

Often, the hardest hit areas during such extreme weather events are communities’ […]

Public buyers have several options to keep problem materials out of the waste stream
Cities and counties are taking multiple steps towards sustainability, says Curran Hughes, co-founder and president of Renegade Plastics, a fabric product manufacturer that offers an alternative to PVC (polyvinyl chloride)-coated fabrics. Its low carbon coated fabrics curtail plastic waste and reduce greenhouse gas emissions, according to the company. “Local governments are doing a nice job […]
