The Spare Spike ice cleat is a lightweight, compact ice- and snow-walking device that fits over all types of shoes and boots to increase traction and reduce slips and falls in outdoor winter conditions. The device can be put on or taken off in fewer than 30 seconds and weighs less than four ounces per foot. The traction comes from 16 carbonized steel studs underfoot that can be replaced without any special tools. Each pair features a spare cleat built into the upper portion of the toe area, so users can immediately replace any cleat that may dislodge. The device features a dual rear pull-tab and a treaded sole. The heel portion of the device is removable if necessary. Available in sizes XS to XXL, the device fits shoes as small as a women’s size 4, or as large as a men’s size 18.
