Wildfires lead to smoky Arizona skies
Kevin Igo, IT project manager for the Phoenix Housing Department, submitted this photo of smoke from wildfires in the desert outside of the city this summer. About 120 residents were evacuated from Crown King, Ariz., on June 29 as the fire threatened homes and lives. Four homes and seven other buildings were destroyed.
