EDA seeks nominations for Excellence in Economic Development Awards
The Economic Development Administration (EDA) is now accepting nominations for the 2008 Excellence in Economic Development Awards. This year’s award program features a new category, Excellence in Historic Preservation-led Strategies.
EDA’s awards recognize economic development strategies that have national significance. A selection panel will name eight winners from the nominees. Members of the winners’ Congressional delegations and representatives of the Department of Commerce will present the commemorative awards at ceremonies in the winning communities.
April 16 is the deadline for submitting nominations. Finalists will be announced on May 15, and the winners will be announced May 30. The nomination brochure is available at www.eda.gov/PDF/EDAawardsbrochure2008.pdf.
