Manufacturer’s entire line of production generator sets under 230 kW has been certified to International Building Code (IBC) standards. Certification will apply to products shipping from the factory starting in March. IBC code addresses the design and installation of building systems, with an emphasis on performance in emergency situations. IBC code certifies that manufacturer’s generator sets can withstand specific seismic forces and remain online and functional after an emergency has occurred. Primary applications for IBC-certified emergency power systems will be in earthquake- and hurricane-prone areas of North America. Cummins Power Generation, a sub. of Cummins Inc., Minneapolis, Minn.
