Event to mark Emergency Preparedness Month
The Washington-based COMCARE Emergency Response Alliance is hosting a Webinar to promote September as Emergency Preparedness Month. The Department of Homeland Security and more than 1,600 national, regional, state and local organizations will participate in the event.
The Webinar will be held Sept. 26 at 1 p.m. and will feature guest speakers on preparing schools, businesses, non-English speaking residents and the whole community for emergencies. “Preparedness is the essential first step in fighting terrorism, curbing the damage caused by natural disasters and keeping our loved ones safe,” said COMCARE Executive Director Judith Woodhall in a statement.
COMCARE is a non-profit agency that advocates for the advancement of emergency communications. Register for the COMCARE Emergency Response Alliance webinar.
