Union Pacific and Dow offer hazardous chemical transportation training
Omaha, Neb.-based Union Pacific Railroad and Midland, Mich.-based Dow Chemical are hosting a series of training sessions for regional emergency response agencies on responding to hazardous chemical transportation incidents.
Omaha, Neb.-based Union Pacific Railroad and Midland, Mich.-based Dow Chemical are hosting a series of training sessions for regional emergency response agencies on responding to hazardous chemical transportation incidents. The Transportation Community Awareness and Emergency Response (TRANSCAER) tour will begin with six California cities in late August, followed by nine cities in Texas in mid-September and the Gulf Coast region through October and November.
The one-day TRANSCAER training will include information on major chemical transportation rail routes, rail equipment and planning for a hazardous material transportation emergency. For more information on the tour, go to www.dow.com/transcaertours/.
