The Washington-based National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL) wants to honor a state legislative Web site that makes democracy “user-friendly.” NCSL’s Legislative Information and Communications Staff Section and the National Association of Legislative Information Technology are sponsoring the Online Democracy Award.
Nominations will be accepted until June 22, and the winner will be announced Aug. 9 during the NCSL’s Annual Meeting in Boston. The nominated Web sites can be for state legislatures, individual chambers and officially recognized legislative caucuses. Nomination forms and information are available at www.ncsl.org.
