The San Diego Trolley Corporation has contracted with Reston, Va.-based Cernium and locally based Electro Specialty Systems to install a security video system on the city’s trolleys. Also, Seattle has contracted with Cernium to install a security video system on the city’s downtown Civic Campus.
The San Diego Police Department has purchased specialized cell phones from Sunnyvale, Calif.-based Palm that will allow officers to access license plate information, incident reports and criminal records from the field.
Harwich, Mass., has contracted with Foxborough, Mass.-based Kaestle Boos to build a 24,000-square foot police headquarters.
The Parker, Colo., Fire District has purchased a wireless locking system for its buildings from Carmel, Ind.-based Ingersoll Rand Security Technologies.
University Park, Texas; the Pasco County, Wash., Sheriff’s Office; the New Mexico Department of Public Safety; the Ada County, Idaho, Sheriff’s Office; Cumberland County, N.C., Sheriff’s Office; Moultrie, Ga.; Forsyth County, Ga.; Chatham County, Ga.; and Outagamie County, Wis., have purchased communications software from Montreal-based Radio IP.
