ICMA to hold conference on High Performing Organization Improvement
The Washington-based International City/County Management Association is co-sponsoring a conference in April on local governments’ use of the High Performing Organization Diagnostic/Change Model (HPO DCM). The conference, scheduled for April 10 – 13 in Charlottesville, Va., will focus on ways to implement the HPO DCM.
City and county managers, various advocates for improvements to local governments and consultants from the Commonwealth Centers for High Performance Organizations will exchange information at the conference that will be held at the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business. Program topics will include building a “change function” into an organization, understanding what must be done at each level of an organization to promote improvement and updates to the HPO DCM. All participants must have attended the initial HPO DCM seminars.
The registration fee is $1,200 per person, with discounts available for groups of three, or $950 for two days of the conference. Registration information is available at www.icma.org or www.highperformanceorg.com.
