DiversityBusiness.com, a multicultural business Web site, has announced the Div500, the seventh annual listing of the nation’s top 500 women-owned businesses. Ranging in revenue size from $5 million to over $1 billion, the companies listed on the Div500 represent the nation’s top multicultural earners.

Topping the list are Omega World Travel, based in Fairfax, VA, with $1.3 billion in 2005 revenues; Total Travel Management based in Troy, MI, with $1.2 billion in 2005 revenues; Sun Coast Resources from Houston, TX, with $867 million in 2005 revenue; and Act-1 Group from Torrance, CA, with $780 million in 2005 revenue.

“This group represents the entrepreneurial spirit that drives our economy and even more,” says Gloria Bohan, CEO of Omega World Travel. “It offers insights into a vastness of cultures and an exchange of ideas that are so valuable in helping me to understand how to reach the needs of today’s consumers.”

The Div500 is a classification that represents the top 500 women-owned businesses in the U.S., in sectors such as technology, manufacturing, food service, and professional services. Government agencies throughout the country use the list produced annually by DiversityBusiness.com, a Web site that links buyers to multicultural product and service businesses.
