A federal grand jury has indicted an Alaska state legislator on charges that he solicited bribes from a consulting company. Rep. Thomas Anderson, R-Anchorage, was arrested Thursday on charges extortion, conspiracy, bribery and money laundering, according to the Anchorage Daily News. According to the indictment, Anderson and another individual solicited bribes from a consultant for a private corrections company that then informed the FBI.
