Fridley, Minn., is considering joining more than 300 other American cities in the U.S. Mayors Climate Protection Agreement. Later this month, the city council will vote whether to sign the agreement, which requires cities to take steps to protect the environment, such as buying energy-efficient vehicles and encouraging public transportation, according to the Star Tribune. However, one council member says the city is already doing enough to protect the environment, and doubts the efficacy of the agreement.
