Zeeland, Mich., has done away with its 104-year-old ban on alcohol sales in a bid to attract more visitors. Proponents say alcohol sales will be a tool for recruiting more businesses to come to the small, conservative Dutch town, according to The Detroit News. After the city approves an alcohol sales district and a permitting process, officials expect to begin issuing liquor licenses in about a year.
