A study by a Harvard grad student says the installation of light rail lines causes only limited growth. The author of the report, Eric Beaton, studied areas close to 160 current and former commuter rail stations around Boston, according to The Boston Globe. He found that ridership did not increase and land use around the stations did not much change.
