Highway Markers Use Solar Power to Illuminate Dark Roadways
SecureLogic Solar Road Marker uses power from the sun and ambient light to charge and recharge capacitor unit for energy, even on cloudy days. Emits LED illumination visible to drivers up to a mile away and under all weather and nighttime conditions. Each independent unit combines advantages of conventional condenser and rechargeable battery for fast power generation without decline in performance over time. Sealed marker contains no serviceable parts or exposed pieces. Aluminum-alloy housing withstands load of over 10,000 kg. per tire. Flashes 60 to 80 times per min. in low visibility and at night to help drivers follow lane markings on road sections where reflective markers cannot pick up headlight beams. Install on clean road surfaces with high-strength adhesive. Meets ASTM specifications. Single-sided, flashing LED markers with dual reflector panels are available in amber/amber combination for center lanes; white/white for divided roads; red/white for one way or wrong-way designations; and red/amber for wrong- way and freeway off-ramp uses. Double-sided flashing markers come with dual red/red LEDs and reflectors for do not enter, and blue/blue for fire hydrant marking. Not recommended for snowplow areas. ETL, Modesto, CA
