Object Detection and Brake Interlock system includes PreView programmable radar. Once driver shifts vehicle into reverse, system senses and warns driver of stationary and moving objects in zones obscured from view. If object is too close to vehicle, within predetermined distance (up to 26 ft. away), system automatically locks vehicles service brakes to prevent collisions. Onboard display provides visible and audible signals to driver when detecting rear obstacle. To alert driver, series of 5 lights illuminates display module, while alarm tone and tempo vary according to proximity of obstacle. System works with single, dual, or anti-lock brakes. Wont interfere with normal braking or vehicle operation.
