Kansas City is joining with local unions and construction companies for Project Prepare, a six-week apprenticeship program intended to help women and minorities secure jobs at city construction sites.
Kansas City is joining with local unions and construction companies for Project Prepare, a six-week apprenticeship program intended to help women and minorities secure jobs at city construction sites. According to the Kansas City Star, the city has pledged to spend at least $200,000 per year on the program, in addition to funding from the state, the city construction fund and the Full Employment Council.
