A database that went live on May 23 allows state employees working with troubled youth in Connecticut to share data with one another concerning the details of cases. Before the database was available, staff had to fill out an extensive assessment detailing the child’s history, family, and mental health each time a child returned to the youth justice system. Now, they merely have to click on the person’s file to get all the needed information.
