Windows-based software offers remote control of bridge lighting and more
HomeSeer V1.7 Home Automation Software was recently selected to control lighting on New York Citys Mid-Hudson Bridge. The Windows-based software was readily customized to provide remote ON-OFF control and scheduling for different sections and colors of lights on the bridge. Users can program operation via the Internet by entering information into a Web browser, Personal Digital Assistant (PDA), or telephone. Intuitive Web control also lets individuals control lighting, irrigation systems, and home appliances from anywhere in the world, via an Internet browser, telephone, or cellular phone. Without requiring custom programming, the software can control a range of applications, automatically trigger specific events, and initiate actions such as sending e-mails or dialing phones.
