Smith & Associates, and William Huxhold, urban planning professor at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, provides data from real cities to help build GIS databases from computer-aided design files and tables for creating buildings and parcels. The exercises teach readers how to perform spatial analyses, produce land-use reports and analyze residential density using ArcGIS software.
