Riverside County, Calif., is considering increasing fees for cities that contract with the Sheriff’s Department for law enforcement. The next fiscal year starts July 1, and county budget officials say that raising rates to pay for the use of forensic services, aviation, special investigation teams and a training center will help cover cuts in state aid.
