Counties honor veterans before Memorial Day
Though Washington, D.C. will be celebrating the opening of the National World War II Memorial this weekend, in many counties already have begun honoring veterans by establishing county-operated veteran’s cemeteries.
Though Washington, D.C. will be celebrating the opening of the National World War II Memorial this weekend, in many counties already have begun honoring veterans by establishing county-operated veteran’s cemeteries. Cape May, N.J.’s cemetery is funded completely by county tax dollars and includes 3,100 veterans and spouses.
