San Diego County, Calif., has extended its contract with MAXIMUS to provide welfare-to-work services in the South County region. The company will continue to provide comprehensive case management services for 3,400 families receiving assistance through the CalWorks program.
The company works with program participants to prepare them to enter the workforce, to place them in gainful positions and to encourage and support the participant’s ability to remain employed. The 17-month extension, valued at more than $7.3 million, runs through June 2002.
