NAGC seeks nominations for ‘Communicator of the Year’
The Falls Church, Va.-based National Association of Government Communicators (NAGC) is accepting nominations for its “Communicator of the Year” award. The deadline for entering a nomination is Jan. 31, and the winner will be honored at NAGC’s annual Communications School in Chicago on April 23.
Nominees must have communicated government messages during 2006 in a manner compliant with NAGC’s Code of Ethics. The 2005 Communicator of the Year was Max Mayfield, director of the Tropical Prediction Center/National Hurricane Center.
Nominations must include the submitter’s name and contact information as well as the name of the nominee and an explanation in 500 words or less of why the nominee qualifies for the prize.
