Bare-wire and covered stainless steel electrodes are designed for welding in power-generation applications.
Bare-wire and covered stainless steel electrodes are designed for welding in power-generation applications. The 90S-B9 is a bare-wire electrode for welding at elevated temperatures. The product has a modified chemistry to prevent long-term creep properties and is suited for welding in power plants, oil refineries and coal operations. The 9015-B9 electrode is suited for welding higher chromium alloyed 9CrMoNbV steel, and can weld heavy wall components like headers and main steam piping. The 90S-B9 is available in diameters from 0.035 to 3/16 of an inch, while the 9015-B9 comes in diameters from 3/32 to 3/16 of an inch.
