ICMA holds 2nd annual video contest

ICMA holds 2nd annual video contest

The International City/County Management Association is accepting submissions for its second annual short video contest.
  • Written by American City & County Administrator
  • 9th July 2009

The Washington-based International City/County Management Association (ICMA) is accepting submissions for its second annual short video contest. The videos may expound on the value of professional management, reasons for joining ICMA and career advice for aspiring managers.

Videos could also be about the maker’s greatest challenge or success in working in local government, or they can be interviews with ICMA members. Prizes will be awarded based on the creativity, relevance and usefulness of the videos. First prize is a full scholarship to ICMA’s 95th Annual Conference in Montreal, Canada, (including a travel stipend) and an iPod Shuffle. Second prize is complimentary registration at the conference, also including a travel stipend, and third prize is a $100 gift certificate for the ICMA bookstore.

Aug. 10 is the deadline for submitting videos. Go to www.icma.org or contact Alex Brown at [email protected] for more information. View last year’s contest videos at icmatv.com.
