Voorhees, N.J.-based American Water Works Co. has received the National Design-Build Award from the Washington-based Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA) for the Lake Pleasant Water Treatment Plant in Phoenix. Denver-based CH2M HILL received DBIA’s National Design-Build Excellence Award for its design of the Bonita Springs, Fla., East Water Reclamation Facility. Boston-based architectural firm Domenech, Hicks & Krockmalnic received DBIA’s Project of the Year award in the Rail/Transit Transportation category for the New York Tri-State Metro Region for the new Yankee Stadium Station in Bronx, N.Y.
New York-based architectural firm RicciGreene Associates has received a merit award from the New Jersey Chapter of the Washington-based American Institute of Architects for its design of the Union County Juvenile Detention Center in Linden, N.J.
Pierce Echelberger, geographic information systems (GIS) manager for Chester County, Pa., has received the Horwood Distinguished Service Award from the Park Ridge, Ill.-based Urban and Regional Information Systems Association (URISA) for his 34 years of work with local governments’ GIS systems and for his work with URISA.
