New look for Web site is more than skin-deep
GovPro.com, the Internet home of Government Product News (GPN) and Government Procurement (Go Pro) magazines, is sporting a new look. However, the changes to our Web site are more than skin-deep.
With input from readers, GPN and Go Pro developed a new editorial mission to better serve the government market, and the result is a new organizational structure for our online content. Readers now can find news articles, features and product information easily by clicking on any of the dedicated categories at the top of the Web page. These categories include:
- Public works.
- Technology.
- Facilities.
- Fleets.
- Public safety.
- Green.
- Grounds maintenance.
- Parks and recreation.
- Federal-government product news and articles.
For those who choose to dig deeper into the new GovPro.com (and we hope that you do), the redesigned site offers access to a variety of content, including:
Daily news items pertaining to the government marketplace.
- Features, columns, case histories and product updates from the print editions of Go Pro and GPN.
- A comprehensive calendar listing of government-market trade shows and events.
- An improved Government Buyers Guide directory that allows users to search for companies, products and services by keyword or category search.
- A resource center that provides research, white papers, analysis and in-depth information on public-sector products and purchasing.
In addition, the redesigned Web site offers opportunities for you to play a more active role in the content that we develop. You can voice your opinion on hot topics via our Quick Poll, and you can share your thoughts on various news articles and features by using our article feedback tool. The new site also features interactive media options such as video, webinars and virtual trade shows. Also new: A video gallery, called GovernmentTV, that will enable you to find company video programs, product demonstrations, reports from industry trade shows and interviews with newsmakers.
“Our new site allows us to build on our online content base. GPN is rich in product content and Go Pro is rich in feature content,” said John DiPaola, vice president and group publisher for GPN and Go Pro. “Adding rich media content in video and audio formats means users get more information about what they are looking for and online advertisers get better search results and ROI.”
Welcome to the new GovPro.com. We encourage you to explore the site, and as always, we’d love to know what you think.
