- Bob Fines
Bob Fines has been appointed president and CEO of Eden Prairie, Minn.-based Truck Bodies and Equipment International (TBEI).
As managing partner in Kirtland Capital and board chairman of TBEI, Fines has been involved in TBEI since its formation. Prior to becoming a partner in Kirtland Capital, Fines spent 20 years leading industrial businesses for General Electric and Avery Dennison.
Several truck body equipment brands are sold under the TBEI name, including Ox, DuraClass (formerly Heil by TBEI), Rugby, Crysteel and J-Craft.
- Dave Kogan
Bird-X, a provider of humane bird and animal pest-control products, has announced the hiring of Dave Kogan as marketing manager.
Kogan coordinates and manages marketing functions for Bird-X and its subsidiaries, including management of the firm’s advertising, public relations, trade show management and search engine optimization/Web marketing.
Kogan has 12 years of experience in the marketing field, having recently developed a PR program for the company that makes the Oscar awards. His background includes managing marketing programs, developing PR strategies and creating advertising plans for large and small manufacturers.
- Jacob Fox
Jacob Fox has been appointed president-Americas for Orsus, which is a New York City-based developer of situation management software that coordinates the interaction between people, alerting technologies and response actions. The company’s Situator platform is used in the security, safety and crisis management markets.
Fox comes to Orsus from PineApp Inc., where he served as president and chief executive officer of the IT security company for two years. Prior to that, Fox served as vice president of sales of call center and analytic solutions for Nice Systems from 2004 to 2006.
Fox replaces Gal Oron, who served as president-Americas for Orsus for the past two years. Oron has been promoted to a corporate position as vice president of corporate strategy and business development.
- Garry Nafus
Garry Nafus has been promoted to the position of regional manager for Spartan Chemical Co.’s Tulsa, Okla. region.
Nafus joined Spartan Chemical in August as an area sales representative and comes to Spartan Chemical with nine years of industry experience.
Spartan Chemical is based in Maumee, Ohio, and manufactures specialty maintenance products for commercial, institutional and industrial accounts.
- Vic Gawith
Vic Gawith has been promoted to territory manager for Salina, Kan.-based Bergkamp.
In his new post, Gawith will be responsible for the sales of Bergkamp’s line of slurry seal, micro surfacing and pothole patching equipment. He also will assist with customer startup and training.
Gawith has 30 years of manufacturing experience, and has been with Bergkamp since 2003.
Gawith, who most recently worked in parts sales, will cover states in the Midwest and West areas of the United States, including Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin and Wyoming.
Bergkamp has been manufacturing pavement maintenance equipment since 1980.
