And the winner is
Lake in the Hills, Ill., and Woodridge, Ill.-based V3 Companies have received the Public Works Project of the Year Award from the Kansas City, Mo.-based American Public Works Association for the restoration of Willow Lake near Lake in the Hills.
Several California cities and agencies, including Victorville; Ventura; the San Diego Water Department; the Sacramento Municipal Utility District; the Beach Cities Health District; the Santa Barbara Water Conservation Program; the Golden Gate Bridge, Highway and Transportation District; the Oakland Housing Authority; the Placerville Downtown Association; the Sanitation Districts of Los Angeles County; and the West Basin Municipal Water District have received awards for energy efficiency from the San Francisco-based conservation group Flex Your Power.
Santa Barbara County, Calif., has received the Past Presidents’ Award from the Annapolis, Md.-based Asphalt Emulsion Manufacturers Association for its pavement preservation program.
Pitkin County, Colo.; Sonoma County, Calif.; and Lake County, Ill., have won open space conservation awards from the San Francisco-based Trust for Public Land.
