The cure for health plan administrators
As health plan administrators examine their plan structures and benefits, they might compare their arrangements with others of similar size. To help administrators draw comparisons and find resources, the Brookfield, Wis.-based International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans surveyed more than 1,000 administrators to compile the “2007 Directory of Health Care Purchasing Coalitions: Multiemployer and Public Plans.” The free online directory is designed to help trustees and administrators more efficiently use health plan dollars by describing the territories covered by each of 24 health care purchasing coalitions nationwide, the services they offer, contact information, links to Web sites and lists of participating trust funds.
