Robert Sorich, the former patronage chief for Chicago Mayor Richard Daley, offered no apologies as he was sentenced to almost four years in prison on corruption charges. Sorich and two other former city officials were convicted in July on charges that they arranged jobs and promotions for city employees who had supported Daley, according to the Chicago Tribune. Prosecutors in the case say they plan to continue investigating Daley’s administration, though Daley denies any knowledge of further corruption.
