The residents of Boise voted down an effort to put a Ten Commandments monument in a public park. More than 52 percent of the voters said, “no,” to a measure that would allow the display, according to the Idaho Statesman. Opponents of the display say it would have favored one religion over others, since it would have displayed a Protestant version of the Commandments that differs from Catholic, Lutheran and Jewish versions.
