For the first time in 30 years, the New York City Board of Correction plans to revise its “Minimum Standards for Correctional Facilities.” The revisions could include decreasing the average square footage given to each inmate, allowing authorities to record inmates’ phone calls and requiring inmates to wear a uniform, according to The New York Times.
