A Montana state judge has thrown out three ballot initiatives aimed at limiting government, saying the process for gathering signatures in support of the initiatives was corrupt.
A Montana state judge has thrown out three ballot initiatives aimed at limiting government, saying the process for gathering signatures in support of the initiatives was corrupt. Constitutional initiative (CI) 97 would limit the growth of state spending, CI-98 would allow residents to attempt to recall state judges for any reason and Initiative 154 would allow property owners to seek compensation for government actions that affect the value of their property, according to the Montana Standard. Other states are considering laws that are similar to CI-97 and Initiative154.
