County Jail Lockup Information Online
The public will be able to search a database to view the identities of inmates housed at the Tarrant (TX) County Jail. The county’s criminal court judges ruled on Friday to grant Tarrant County Sheriff Dee Anderson permission to offer the information online.
Anderson indicated that allowing the public to search the Web site for information will lower the number of calls, especially redundant inquiries, handled by staff members daily. Additionally, he noted that the plan will save costs by enabling staff members to perform other tasks.
People accessing the Web site can conduct searches by inputting information related to the inmate, such as a partial name.
