Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport Noise Compatibility Commission plans to provide free sound insulation to 1,000 homes near the airport. The homes are in Chicago and the city’s northwest suburbs and could be affected by the airport’s future expansion, according to the Chicago Tribune. By next year, nearly 250 of the homes will be insulated.
